Sick Pet & Urgent Care

in Denver

As pet owners, we know that when your pet suddenly seems “off,” it can turn an ordinary day upside down. The Neighborhood Vets proudly offers sick pet and urgent care appointments. Care stays close to home, with a team that knows and cares for the community. This means faster answers, a calmer experience for pets, and treatment plans guided by expert veterinarians who understand their history.

During Business Hours

If your pet experiences an urgent concern during regular business hours, please call ahead. This will help the medical team prepare and ensure a veterinarian is available to evaluate them as soon as they arrive. If your pet has an urgent problem, we will do everything we can to see your pet.

There may be situations where going directly to an emergency facility is the safest option. Calling ahead allows the team to guide families appropriately and help determine next steps based on the pet’s condition.

Day Hospitalization

Under new ownership, the clinic has expanded its medical capabilities, equipment, and training to support more same-day, in-clinic care. Some cases benefit from monitoring over several hours, for example, dehydration, toxin ingestion, or pets needing repeat medications or diagnostics. In these situations, we provide day hospitalization. Pets may receive fluid therapy, lab testing, imaging, medications, and regular assessments throughout the day. Families are contacted with updates and next-step recommendations. Most pets return home that evening. If overnight support is needed, the team helps coordinate transfer to a 24-hour facility.
