When a pet isn’t feeling well, precise and swift answers matter. In-house advanced imaging at The Neighborhood Vets allows our team to see beneath the surface, guiding treatment plans, supporting surgical decisions, and helping you make informed choices about your pet’s care. Whether a pet comes in for a wellness visit, a sudden illness, or ongoing monitoring, diagnostics play a key role in catching concerns early and building a complete picture of health.

Digital Radiography (X-rays)

Digital X-rays provide a detailed view of bones and internal structures, helping identify fractures, joint changes, foreign objects, and conditions affecting the chest and abdomen. Results are available quickly and can be shared with specialists whenever collaborative care is needed.

Ultrasound & Echocardiograms

Ultrasounds use sound waves to create real-time images of soft tissue and internal organs. They’re invaluable for evaluating masses, assessing abdominal changes, and guiding treatment decisions. Cardiac ultrasounds (echocardiograms) provide valuable insight into heart function and structure.

Laparoscopic Biopsies

For cases that require deeper investigation, laparoscopic biopsies may be recommended. This minimally-invasive surgical procedure provides diagnostic clarity while supporting a smooth recovery.

In-House Laboratory Testing

Our in-house lab allows our care team to run bloodwork, urine tests, and basic screenings during both wellness and sick pet visits—often delivering answers within the same appointment.
