Pet Rehabilitation

in Wash Park

Mobility matters at every age, and physical rehabilitation at The Neighborhood Vets offers pets the comfort, strength, and confidence to move through life with ease. Whether  recovering after surgery, managing chronic pain, or simply slowing down with age, veterinary rehab provides gentle, targeted support that improves quality of life in meaningful ways. Additionally, rehab is often an effective alternative when surgery isn’t an option.

What is Pet Rehabilitation?

Rehabilitation for pets mirrors physical therapy in humans. It focuses on improving daily function by reducing pain and inflammation, increasing joint mobility and muscle flexibility, building strength, and enhancing balance and body awareness.

Over time, these therapies help pets recover more quickly after injury or surgery, minimize discomfort from chronic conditions, and maintain independence.

Rehab for Senior Pets

Many families assume slowing down is simply a part of aging, but senior pets often benefit significantly from rehabilitation. Gentle exercises, acupuncture, manual therapies, and pain-relief modalities can help older dogs and cats stay more comfortable, mobile, and engaged in daily life.
